Keeping Texas Red
"I love Texas because Texas is future-oriented because Texans think anything is possible. Texans think big." - Phil Gramm
ECRW
ECRW consists of men and women throughout Texas with the main focus being the Permian Basin Area. We strive to educate and engage Republicans. We support all Republican candidates and elected officials, but we are particularly interested in recruiting and electing Republican women to office. Please join us at our monthly luncheons held at MCM Elegante.

A New Year, A Bold Vision
Dear ECRW Members,
It is both an honor and a privilege to serve as your President for the Ector County Republican Women's Club. As I step into this role following the exemplary leadership of Debi Hays, I am humbled by the responsibility and energized by the opportunity that lies before us. These are big shoes to fill, but together, we will walk boldly into 2026 with purpose and determination.
We stand at a pivotal moment in our nation's history. As uncertainty swirls in Washington and questions linger about the direction of our government, one thing remains crystal clear: our mission matters now more than ever. Your new ECRW leadership team is ready, positioned, and committed to supporting all Republicans while ensuring that every citizen in our community understands what is happening in their government and who is leading it. Keep Texas RED!!
Knowledge is power. When you—as a person, taxpayer, and voter—are educated and informed, you are empowered to get involved and make decisions that shape our local, state, and national government. We cannot afford to be silent. We cannot afford to stand on the sidelines. Theodore Roosevelt reminded us of the importance of being "in the arena" rather than standing as critics from the comfort of the shadows. He challenged us to do what we can, with what we have, where we are. That challenge resonates today more than ever.
We must stand up for our values—the principles that built this great nation and the freedoms we hold dear. If we allow others to dictate the direction of our government without raising our voices, without taking action, we have only ourselves to blame. The time for passive observation has passed. The time for active engagement is now.
Our Vision for 2026
This year, ECRW will focus on three transformative goals that will strengthen our community and secure our future:
Educate Our Youth: The next generation must understand the foundations of liberty, the Constitution, and the conservative values that preserve freedom. We will create programs and opportunities to engage young people, teaching them to think critically about government, citizenship, and their role in shaping America's future.
Grow Our Membership: Strength lies in numbers. We will actively recruit passionate, principled women who share our commitment to conservative values. Every member brings unique talents, perspectives, and energy that makes our organization stronger and our voice louder.
Create Family-Friendly Events: Strong families build strong communities. We will host events that bring together families—moments of fellowship, celebration, and shared purpose where conservative values are lived, not just discussed. These gatherings will strengthen bonds, inspire the next generation, and remind us why wefight for the future.
These are not modest goals—they are ambitious, challenging, and absolutely essential. But as Rep. Mimi Walters wisely said, "Sometimes women think they can't do it all, and I'm here to say you can do it all. You may not be able to do it all at once, but you can do it all."
I challenge each of you to Do It All. Together, with hard work, dedication, and unwavering faith in our mission, we can accomplish every goal we set for our city, state, and nation. I truly believe ECRW has what it takes to make extraordinary things happen in 2026 and beyond.
This is your club. Your voice matters. Your ideas matter. Your involvement matters. Ifyou would like to get involved in any aspect of ECRW's work, please reach out to meor any of our board members. We want to hear from you. We want to know how wecan better serve you and our community.
Help us grow awareness of ECRW and our mission. Invite a friend, share our message, and be the light that draws others into this vital work.
Finally, I ask you to join me in prayer for our leaders—locally, statewide, and nationally. Pray for wisdom, courage, and integrity. Pray that they will seek God's guidance and do what is right for the people they serve. In times of uncertainty, prayer is our foundation and our strength.
Thank you for entrusting me with the honor of serving as your ECRW President. I am excited about what we will accomplish together. Here's to a year of purpose, passion, and progress. I wish each of you a Happy and Amazing New Year!
With gratitude and determination,
Ashleigh Amonett
